Winter experiences off the slopes ...
Those who want to enjoy winter away from the ski slopes have countless opportunities to do so in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena.
On 131 km of prepared cross-country ski trails, lovers of Nordic sports will definitely get their money's worth. Whether classic or skating, the various trails at the foot of the Zugspitze leave nothing to be desired. Or how about a brisk toboggan run? On the slopes and toboggan runs around the Zugspitz Resort you can go downhill in no time. And twice a week you can really put your foot down on the night tobogganing at the Ehrwalder Alm.
For something a little more leisurely, take a winter hike through the snow-covered landscape. Over 60 km of cleared winter hiking trails invite you to explore the snow-white winter wonderland around the Tyrolean Zugspitze and to consciously perceive and enjoy the fresh air, the glistening of the snow crystals and the tranquillity of nature.
If you prefer to do it all on big soles through the deep snow, you should definitely consider a snowshoe hike. With the right equipment you can trudge through the deep snow without any problems and on the way along the signposted paths you are guaranteed to find an idyllic spot for a breather.
TOP tip: Hiking with a llama in Bieberwier
Mega fun for the whole family is promised by a llama hike at the foot of the Zugspitze. Together with the llamas, you can explore nature and also learn interesting facts about the fluffy animals from llama whisperer Heidi Hofherr.
After the winter experience outside, it's merrily on inside the hotel...
While it's already getting dark outside, young and old can relax or let play in the hotel. Parents can either go to the Adults-only SPA or to our Family SPA together with the kids. Or how about a visit to our childcare? In the evening, our kitchen and service team will spoil you with culinary delights and you can end the day in our cosy lounge by the open fire.
Have we awakened the anticipation in you? Then book your winter holiday now at the Zugspitz Resort, at the foot of the Tyrolean Zugspitze.
