DIDIs Almsee Walk

Family trail on the Ehrwalder Alm

A new and special adventure awaits you on the Ehrwalder Alm: the DIDIs Almsee-Walk – a lovingly designed walking and hiking trail.

Together, you will stroll through blooming alpine meadows, listen to the babbling brook and discover many little surprises along the way to marvel at, play with and linger over. An excursion that combines nature experiences and family time in a unique way.

Directions & Highlights

The trail leads from the Ehrwalder Almbahn mountain station downhill for about 1.8 km (with an elevation gain of around 80 m) along a meadow path, past a wooden snow groomer and on to the path that leads up to the stream and finally to the Ehrwalder Almsee lake. The route is suitable for pushchairs and can be easily completed in about 1 hour.

There are numerous little surprises along the way:

  • a wooden snow groomer to climb on
  • seating and reclining areas
  • a pull-along raft by the water
  • a water wheel and carved figures invite you to linger and explore.

At the end of the loop, the Tirolerhaus awaits – ideal for a well-deserved break with a view of the alpine pasture and the playground.
